Plenty of Surrey and South East Stars players have joined up with their teams for the third edition of The Hundred – which starts tonight

The Oval Invincibles will once again play their home games at The Kia Oval – with many Surrey players amongst their ranks.

Oval Invincibles Women team will look to win their third title in as many years, led by Surrey Head Coach Jonathan Batty. There is plenty of Surrey representation among their ranks – with Alice Capsey, Kira Chathli, Eva Gray and Claudie Cooper playing at their home ground.

There is also a familiar feel to the Men’s team, with Gus Atkinson, Sam Curran, Tom Curran, Will Jacks, Jason Roy, Sunil Narine and Tom Lawes all in the squad. The Hundred will be Tom Lawes’ first taste of franchise cricket.

Jamie Smith will look to continue his brilliant 2023 form with the Birmingham Phoenix. Surrey’s Chloe Brewer will be staying in the Midlands, as she continues with the Pheonix. Brewer currently ply’s her regional trade with the Central Sparks.

Dan Worrall has been drafted as a late replacement into the London Spirit. Worrall missed last season’s competition through injury.

Big hitting Surrey batters Laurie Evans and Jamie Overton will once again play for the Manchester Originals.

Ollie Pope was signed by the Welsh Fire as their ECB Central Contracted player, but will not play due to a shoulder injury sustained in the second Ashes Test.

South East Stars

Alongside a strong Surrey cohort, there will be plenty of South East Stars involvement in The Hundred. Alice Davidson-Richards will once again be playing for the Northern Superchargers alongside Aylish Cranstone.

Stars’ the in-form Paige Sholfield and Ryana Macdonald-Gay will call The Kia Oval home as they link up with the Oval Invincibles.

Alexa Stonehouse once again joins up with Stars captain Bryony Smith with the Trent Rockets.
