Building on a successful 2025 season on and off the pitch, the plan outlines how Surrey will enhance the fan experience, have listened and will continue to listen closely to supporter feedback, and deliver meaningful opportunities for engagement throughout the year, on match days and non-match days.

At the heart of the Club’s strategy is a commitment to value the voices of supporters. From matchday surveys and supporter forums to one-to-one supporter services and social media engagement, the Club are focused on strengthening relationships with Members and fans by creating more opportunities to engage, shaping experiences that reflect the diversity of Surrey’s community, and ensuring every guest feels welcomed.

The Club will also continue to evolve their focus group programme, inviting both Members and non-Members to help shape improvements across food, retail, ticketing and matchday experience. If you are interested in taking part in future focus groups, please email fanengagement@surreycricket.com.

Another core pillar of the plan is the Club’s commitment to inclusion, accessibility and community impact. Whether through dedicated accessibility forums, improved stadium facilities, or initiatives like Carers Day and Alzheimer’s matchdays, Surrey are working to ensure cricket is a game for everyone.

Programmes delivered by the Surrey Cricket Foundation continue to open the game to new audiences, with grassroots initiatives reaching thousands of children, families, and underrepresented communities across Surrey and South London. Meanwhile, supporter groups such as Proud Surrey are also helping in fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment for all fans.

The new plan follows a brilliant 2025 season, which saw record attendance figures, expanded Member events, and innovative initiatives that brought fans closer to Surrey, with some of the highlights being:

  • Setting a new 21st-century record by welcoming over 85,000 supporters across County Championship fixtures
  • The launch of the ‘Pioneers’ group, creating a dedicated community for supporters of Surrey’s women team
  • The unforgettable ‘A Day for Thorpey’ that united cricket fans in the celebration a Surrey and England legend and raised over £170,000 for mental health initiatives
  • A record-breaking Schools Day welcoming more than 5,200 young fans to the Kia Oval

Looking ahead, supporters can expect an even richer and more diverse programme of events and experiences throughout the summer:

  • Hosting three ICC Women’s T20 World Cup fixtures, including both semi-finals
  • Expanded Member events, including forums and awards nights, as well as social and community-focused occasions
  • The return of fan-favourite experiences such as Pride of Lions Day, Schools Day, and the Festival of Red Ball Cricket
  • New themed T20 matchdays, offering unique experiences at every fixture

Steve Elworthy, CEO at Surrey CCC, said: “We want to continue delivering meaningful and long-lasting relationships between the Club, our Members and our loyal supporters to ensure that we continue to operate with integrity, inclusivity, innovation and humility in everything that we do.

“As a Club, we believe it is important to hear the voices of our fans to ensure we continue to deliver not only first-class cricket, but also a first-class experience for those who enter our gates.”
