Surrey Pathway batter Dev Vaidya topped the run-scoring charts in the 2026 Bunbury Festival, helping his side, London and East, win the tournament.
Last week at the prestigious Bunbury Festival, where some of the best young cricketers compete for one of four regional teams in a U15 tournament at Loughborough University, Surrey Pathway players Dev Vaidya and Tom Woolf took the chance to showcase their talent against their peers from different parts of the country.
Vaidya, who plays his league cricket for Ashtead CC, ended the competition as the leading run-scorer, amassing an incredible 545 runs over the nine games with a highest score of 140 in the red-ball fixture against the Midlands side.
Fellow Pathway all-rounder Tom Woolf, who also represents Ashtead CC, played an impressive knock towards the end of the Festival, scoring 62 off 83 deliveries, also against the Midlands team.
Many current Surrey players, including Ollie Pope, Rory Burns, Gus Atkinson and Tom Lawes, have all taken part in previous editions of the Festival, which next year will celebrate their 40th anniversary.
